Q: How do the online Training & Certification Programs work?
A: Our online courses follow Instructional Design requirements, meaning the course is broken into multiple Lessons. Each Lesson has a 'Lesson Goals' page showing the two or three key points to learn from that Lesson. It then provides training – in English, not legalese – with lots of Tips, Examples, and Procedural Recommendations, then concludes with 'End Of Lesson Quizzes" that are multiple-choice question that state a potential situation that you, as the administrator, must handle.
Q: How long does it take to complete an online Training & Certification Program?
A: Each course covers the law and its requirements, and includes multiple Examples, Best Practices, and Administrative Tips. That said, the training portion of the Program generally takes eight hours to complete, and the Certification test up to two hours to complete.
Q: Must I complete the Program all at one time?
A: The Program can be completed either at one time or over several sessions by using the "Bookmark" feature. You simply hit the "Return to Bookmark" button to return to your last page. This feature allows you to proactively schedule your training over several days or to save your place in the Program in case of unscheduled interruptions.
Q: Am I required to take the Certification Exam?
A: The Certification Exam is an optional feature that is included with the Program at no extra charge. Users who want the "Certification" simply take the exam after completing the training portion of the Program. Users who do not need or want a Certification are not required to test unless they require proof - such as for re-certification requirements - that they have completed the program. In these instances, they must take and pass the Certification Exam.
Q: How does the Certification Exam work?
A: Your Certification Exam consists of 50 questions that are randomly selected from our database of questions. You scroll forward or back through the Exam at any time to check or review your answers, and click on the "Score My Exam" button to submit your Exam for scoring. Your score is shown on screen. Users with non-passing scores are shown a list of incorrectly answered questions and given tips for passing on their next attempt; users with a passing score can print their Certificate immediately.
Q: Can I see any Exam questions I answered incorrectly?
A: Yes. This feature was requested specifically by our pre-launch focus groups who, even if they passed the Exam, wanted the ability to correct any potential "weak" areas they may have.
Q: How many times may I test for Certification?
A: The Program automatically allows up to three attempts for Certification for up to one year from the date of purchase. You must contact us if you would like additional attempts.
Q: Do I still have access to the training materials after I pass the Certification Test?
A: Yes. In reality, there are many requirements and few people, if any, can memorize all of the content, so you can use your training program as a resource material for up to one year from date or purchase. Thereafter, to maintain access, certification, and get free updates whenever the laws change, you can simply renew for a lost cost of $99 annually.
Q: I am one of three administrators at my firm who are all interested in becoming Certified. How do we access our the Program?
A: You each need to enroll separately to receive a "Certified Administrator" designation. During the enrollment process, you each provide your own unique and separate user names and passwords that separately provide access and track your progress through the Training portion of the Program. Note that discount apply if enrolling two or more people.
Q: How long does it take to receive my Certificate?
A: Immediately, as you can print your Certificate directly from your computer.
Q: Do your courses provide updates whenever the laws change?
A: Absolutely - and we do it for free! In essence, we notify you with both an overview of any changes and directions as to where and what changed in your courseware.

For Our Human Resources Seminars

Q: What is the difference between an HR Generalist and an HR Specialist?
A: These titles are interchangeable. Bottom line, the job entitles working with any number of HR functions, including benefits, payroll, compensation, workers' comp, compliance, and more.
Q: What does your investigation class cover?
A: While many people think investigations primarily cover fraud or theft, in reality the majority of workplace investigations are based upon employee and management behavior, and handling these situations correctly can mean a happy workforce or a lawsuit. For instance, how would your organization respond to claims of bullying, negligence, or retaliation? How does it identify whether there is a complaint that should he handled by a supervisor or actually investigated? Does your organization have a process for interviewing witnesses or writing reports? The key here is to get trained on how to do an investigation before you actually have to do one! [View Course Agenda]
Q: Does your FMLA/ADA/PWFA seminar cover my day-to-day responsibilities like determining and handling 'Reasonable Accommodations', 'Intermittent Leaves', 'Return to Work', and identifying fraud and/or abuse?
A: Yes to all of these areas and more! Your trainer covers all of these topics in detail through lecture, classroom discussion, and our Interactive Exercises where you get to practice what you learn. You also receive access to our FMLA, ADA, and PWFA Training & Certification Programs at no cost! [View Course Agenda]
Q: Do your seminars qualify for SHRM or HRCI re-certification credits?
A: Yes. Each qualifies for 18 or more SHRM or HRCI re-certification credits.
Q: Do I receive a certificate for attending one of your classes?
A: Yes. In addition to the great training, you receive a certificate that is suitable for framing, as well as 18 or more SHRM or HRCI re-certification credits.
Q: Do I have to attend a seminar in person?
A: Our seminars are available in both in-person and virtual options. Both options contain the same training; the only difference is that you attend the virtual sessions from the comfort of your home or office.
Q: Can you bring your training to our location?

Q: Are discounts available if I need to train more than one employee?
A: Of course! Discounts are available according to both how many employees you want to train and for having us train at your location.
Q: Can you train at our location?
A: Of course! On-site training is definitely more cost-effective if you need eight or more people trained. Generally speaking, the costs are as follows:
  • Base cost of $9,950, which covers all costs and materials for up to eight employees
  • $799 for each attendee over eight
  • Up to two hours of customization provided free
  • Speaker fee included
  • You also are responsible for any travel, hotel, and venue costs. Even so, the total cost is still more than 50% off of the costs of sending your team to one of our publicly-held sessions!
