Overall, HR Generalists enforce company policies and perform tasks related to reporting, hiring, and compensation. An HR Generalist's specific job duties vary depending on the size of the organization. In smaller organizations with only one HR person, HR Generalists likely handle everything from benefits to compliance to payroll. In larger organizations, there are commonly more than one HR Generalist, so you are likely to "specialize" in one of more functions, such as payroll, worker's comp, or COBRA administration. When you hold this position, you can expect to:
Recruit, interview, and hire job applicants for open positions
Implement and execute HR programs, including new hire orientation
Investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, retaliation, and legal issues
Communicate and work with Benefits and Compensation Plans
Employee Relations, Performance Management, and holding disciplinary meetings
Ensure company compliance with state, federal, and local laws
Earn over $60k per year as a new HR Generalist
One of the most frustrating parts of completing HR Generalist training is finding the program that is right for you. At HRcertification.com, we have taken all of the guesswork out of the process with our intensive HR Generalist training program.
This highly-rated training program can be attended either in-person in cities across the country or virtually from your home or office and, with 14 informative sessions and interactive exercises, you can gain the knowledge and abilities you need to excel as an HR Generalist. By attending this seminar, you will learn:

The list of individuals who should attend this course is large. It obviously includes those new to HR, but also includes Managers and Supervisors to whom their team of HR Generalists report to, as well as business owners of smaller organizations who either have to do all of the HR work themselves or just have one employee who is "in charge of HR" – along with all of their other responsibilities. Further, how do any of the above-mentioned individuals know all of the rules or find out about changes or updates to the law?
The HR Department covers a massive amount of work. Just setting up and dealing with employees in areas such as Benefits, Payroll, Cafeteria Plans, COBRA, Workers' Comp, FMLA and ADA leaves, workplace investigations, and Retirement Plans is difficult enough, but when you figure in the compliance requirements to effectively manage and comply with the various rules and deadlines, it is easy to get flustered and/or make mistakes that are costly for your organization.
Our HR Generalists Certificate Program is an Instructor-led training course that covers a wide range of Human Resource requirements. It provides not just the rules and compliance requirements, but Best Practices and Administrative Tips for effectively managing your organization's compliance requirements.
And as a special bonus, your enrollment fee covers not just the training session, but four of our top-selling online courses to help you manage the top four areas causing compliance problems: FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and Paycheck Fundamentals!
Last, as you can tell from our near-perfect 5 out of 5 review score and the testimonials about this course, everyone loves the course! Enroll today to earn your HR Generalists certificate!
